Call for witnesses to abuse at schools – Burwood, Laverton, Benjeroop, Tyabb, Bannockburn

RCT Law is acting for for a client who alleges to have been abused by a teacher during the 1960s and 1970 in Victoria. We are asking for anyone who may have information about the abuse or have been a witness to it to please come forward.

The schools and time periods involved are:

  • Burwood Teacher’s College -1 Jan 1964 to 23 May 1966
  • Laverton Primary School – 24 May 1966 to 31 Dec 1966
  • Benjeroop East Primary School – 1 Jan 1967 to 31 Dec 1969
  • Tyabb Primary School – 1 Jan 1970 to 31 Dec 1972
  • Bannockburn Primary School – 1 Jan 1973 to 31 Dec 1978

Our client, along with other survivors of abuse, is seeking justice for the abuse they suffered as well as financial compensation.

If you were a student, parent or staff member who was aware of abuse at these schools, we are asking you to please come forward to help us with the case on behalf of our client.

This person, along with potential other victims, is seeking justice and compensation for the abuse suffered.
