Luke Balassis is a Senior Associate at RCT Stringer Clark, where he works primarily in institutional abuse alongside a broader range of personal injury matters, bringing a steady, considered approach to some of the most sensitive and complex cases the firm handles.
Luke completed his Bachelor of Laws with Honours in 2017, followed by a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice in 2020, and was admitted to practice in March 2021. He joins RCT Stringer Clark with five years of experience at a boutique personal injury firm, where he developed a primary focus in institutional abuse while also building broad practical experience across WorkCover, TAC, public liability, superannuation and insurance claims, Department of Veterans’ Affairs matters, and proceeds of crime. That breadth of experience gives Luke a well-rounded perspective on the challenges his clients face and the outcomes they deserve.
A member of the Law Institute of Victoria since 2021, Luke is committed to his ongoing development as a practitioner and to the clients he serves.
He was drawn to RCT Stringer Clark by a desire to assist people who have been through significant hardship, with a focus on making the legal process as clear and straightforward as possible for those who need it most. For Luke, the law is not just a profession but a genuine opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives, and it is a responsibility he takes seriously.
Outside of the office, Luke values time with friends and family, stays active through regular strength training, and is an avid car enthusiast, a passion that reflects the same attention to detail and appreciation for precision that he brings to his legal work.
