Courtney Barro is an Associate at Ryan Carlisle Thomas specialising in personal injury and institutional abuse law. With a compassionate and client-focused approached, she is dedicated to helping individuals seek justice and compensatory remedies for harm they have suffered.
She holds a double degree in law and criminology from La Trobe University and was admitted to the legal profession in February 2023. Prior to joining Ryan Carlisle Thomas, she gained valuable experience as a plaintiff lawyer in institutional abuse law as Associate to the Director of Public Prosecutions and as a solicitor at the Office of Public Prosecutions as well.
Courtney is driven by achieving justice for victim survivors against institutions who failed in protecting those within their care and relishes the opportunity to work in such an important and evolving area of law. She seeks to deliver meaningful outcomes for those impacted.
Outside of law, Courtney enjoys pilates and spending quality time with family and friends.
