Carolyn Ford

Special Counsel

Injury Law Practice Leader

Since 2011, Carolyn has been a Law Institute of Victoria Accredited Specialist. Her practice areas include WorkCover, TAC, Public Liability and Medical Negligence. Her motivation and passion for pursuing a career in law was “…driven by a strong desire to provide access to Justice for the ordinary person, to make complex legal concepts and processes understandable and to do so with understanding and respect for an individual’s unique circumstances.”

Carolyn graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2003 with a Bachelor of Law (Hons) and Bachelor of Arts. She has memberships with the Law Institute of Victoria and Australian Lawyers Alliance.

Carolyn is a current member of the Law Institute of Victoria Worker’s Compensation Committee and an appointed representative on the WorkCover Advisory Group. Her past responsibilities included acting as a legal advisor on Eastern Health’s Human Research and Ethics Committee, President of the Victorian Red Cross Friends of International Humanitarian Law and recipient of a Rotary Group Study Exchange Scholarship.

With the aim of contributing to the broader community and helping to create a more equitable society, she is a current volunteer at the Eastern Community Legal Service.

In her free time, Carolyn is occupied with her other important job, being mother to her two spritely children, and endeavours to cultivate the little glimmers of inspiration in her daily life; whether that be through books, food, travel, swimming or time in nature.
