The plight of workers who have been scammed by some of the large fresh food suppliers to the big supermarkets, and others like those on student visas who have been exploited by 7-Eleven, will be front and centre at this year’s Fluro Fightback rally tomorrow.

Father Bob Maguire and Guardian columnist Van Badham will join the National Union of Workers as speakers when the rally kicks off at 8 am at Southern Cross Station. The Victorian union movement is supporting the rally.

No matter whether you work on a farm, at a 7-eleven, or in another industry, it’s important that you, along with all working Australians, enjoy secure and properly paid employment, especially if we want to combat poverty in Australia.
