Xavier College Abuse Legal Action

We are calling on witnesses and survivors of abuse at Xavier College to come forward.

RCT Law is suing the Jesuits (Australian Society of Jesus) for compensation for the sexual and physical abuse a number of former students suffered while boarding at Burke Hall and studying at Xavier College, Melbourne.

One such client, who has now told his story in The Age (Nightmare at Xavier College: New claims of abuse, ritual humiliation) publicly, was subject to a series of perverse, humiliating and abusive acts by a scholastic who later became a priest and by a teacher employed at the College in the 1960s and 1970s.

While the allegations are supported by students who allege they were witness to the abuse or were abused themselves, the cases can only be strengthened by more past students coming forward.

We are calling on other witnesses or survivors of abuse at Xavier to come forward because when survivors' stories support one another, claims are made stronger and the truth can be told.
