Ian Dallas joins Ryan Carlisle Thomas' fight against abuse

Leading personal injury lawyer and founding partner of Arnold Dallas McPherson, Ian Dallas, has joined law firm Ryan Carlisle Thomas. He will work primarily on institutional and sexual abuse cases.

Ian has an impressive career in the law spanning more than 34 years including as a barrister, a Judge’s Associate to Justice Gobbo in the Supreme Court of Victoria, and as a plaintiff lawyer since then, primarily as a partner in his own law firm.

In more recent times, Ian has taken on many institutional and sexual abuse cases, driven by his indignation at the abuse he has seen suffered by children and young adults.

“We are at a critical turning point in achieving justice for thousands of survivors of sexual abuse. I thought I could make a real contribution to that by joining the firm that are clearly national leaders on the issue and have been for some time,” Mr. Dallas said.

Ryan Carlisle Thomas Managing Partner Ron Pearce welcomed the appointment.

“We’re obviously delighted to have Ian join our firm, given his standing in the profession,” he said.

“He’s a lawyer with proven leadership skills and will be a major asset.”

Ian will be based at the firm’s Melbourne and Dandenong offices.
