The VicClaim app has been introduced to assist injured workers with the often complex claims process.

New WorkCover App, VicClaim, helps in lodging injury claims

WorkCover Victoria has launched a new app for iphone and android phones and tablets that puts injury claims information in the palm of your hand.

Intended for use by workers and employers, the app helps people navigate through the often complex injury claims process.

The WorkCover Authority is pretty upbeat about the app, saying it will improve access to claims information as well as explain how the system works to workers.

According to one of their executives, Simon Bailey: “The app is designed to simply the legislative landscape of the compensation systems, and also outline important steps in lodging a successful injury claim with WorkSafe.”

While designed for employers and employees, there is useful information here for workers on how to make a claim with the VWA and details on medical treatments available to aid recovery, among other things.
