Tasmanian Redress Scheme to close on 15 Feb 2013

Michelle O'Byrne, Minister for Children, has urged any remaining individuals who suffered abuse whilst in the care of the State of Tasmania to come forward before the Tasmanian Redress Scheme closes to new applicants on 15th February 2013.

The redress scheme is currently in it's fourth round and offers ex-gratia payments of up to $35,000.

To be eligible, applicants must have been in the care of the State of Tasmania and born before 11 July 1985. Applicants must not have made a prior claim.

If you fulfill these criteria and want to bring a claim under the Tasmanian Redress Scheme, call us on 1300 366 441 or email abuse@rct-law.com.au immediately to ensure your application can be lodged before the scheme closes.
